What can I expect from my first consultation?
Upon your first consultation, Kate's goal will be to establish a working diagnosis of your complaint, and develop and implement a bespoke treatment plan to address your contributing factors and symptoms, and assist you in your active recovery. This will first begin with a thorough health consultation to review and discuss any current/past injuries, medical conditions and lifestyle habits, and may require special testing (neural/ range of motion/ muscle strength testing).
With a nurturing approach, Kate will apply hands-on techniques during your treatment that may include any of deep tissue massage, dry needling, trigger point therapy, cupping, joint mobilisation and passive stretching. Kate will be communicating with you at all times to determine your comfort level in all techniques.
Finally, Kate will prescribe you with home care exercises and/or lifestyle advice following treatment so you can maintain and enhance your treatment outcomes.
